Insurance

HomeModel is a marketing lead generator. We are not an insurance company, agent, broker or producer, and we don't sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, provide quotes, or give coverage advice. Our assistant doesn't discuss rates, coverage or policy recommendations.

When you ask for home insurance quotes, we pass your request to licensed agents or insurance companies, who are responsible for their own licensing and for any quote, advice or policy. Our compensation is a fee for the request, call or click; it does not depend on whether you buy a policy. Not all partners are available in all states.

A live site operated by a licensed agency should list its legal name, National Producer Number (NPN) and resident and non-resident license numbers here.

Contractors

Contractors you're matched with are independent businesses. They're responsible for holding the licenses, registrations and insurance their state and town require. Always confirm a contractor's license, get a written contract, and avoid large up-front payments.

Storm-damage claims

Some states restrict contractors from negotiating insurance claims for you or from offering to pay or waive your deductible. Your insurer decides what a claim covers.
